The Challenge

Lloyds Pharmacy’s objective was to introduce a new dispensary system, CoMPaSS (Complete Medication and Patient Support System) across their 1700 UK branches. The longevity and scale of this project demanded a knowledgeable and flexible partner to manage the requirement and provide the appropriate resource. The rapidly increasing remit of UK pharmacies meant that competition was getting tougher and innovation was of the essence.

The Solution

FDM provided a highly technical Java team to develop and implement the system, ensuring it was platform geared to support new NHS initiatives such as EPS (Electronic Prescription System). FDM was able to offer a guaranteed 2-year commitment from the Java team, which was made up of junior, intermediate and senior consultants - in addition to a team leader.

The Outcome

By utilising FDM, Lloyds Pharmacy was able to roll out CoMPaSS across its 1700 stores within the UK, achieving the initial objective. Our solution proved cost effective and scalable, which ensured a successful delivery.
