The legendary FDM Client Golf Day took place on Thursday 9th July, an event we eagerly awaited for nearly as much as the weather report for the day. The 16th FDM Golf day was held in the luxurious surroundings of the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) in Epsom, complete with an 18-hole course and beautiful surroundings. Over 60 people attended, all of whom had a brilliant time, especially the winners.
We had some record-breaking results this year, with both the highest and the lowest scores. Rod Flavell, our very own CEO achieved the highest FDM score (40 points), winning the FDM cup. Additionally, we had our joint lowest scores (5 points), which is officially the worst score an FDM golf day has ever seen. That’s a significant achievement in itself! Mr Nithi took first place above all with 43 points, securing his name on the traditional FDM cup – as well as being part of the winning team, hosted by one of FDM’s youngest Account Manager – Nick Allen. Well done Nick!
Joel Hopwood, the young and talented professional who joined us for the day (all the way from Inverness), acquired £1100 from FDM which will be used to further enhance his professional golfing career. We certainly look forward to seeing what this young man is capable of, and who knows, we may be looking at the new Tiger Woods in a few years time. Congratulations to those who drew or beat Joel Hopwood at the nearest to pin competition.
We look forward to seeing you all at the next golf day in 2010!
