The 17th FDM Golf Day took place on Thursday 8th July at the beautiful Royal Automobile Club (RAC) in Epsom. It was a fantastic day out amongst the luxurious surroundings of the RAC and the weather held for a great game of golf on the 18-hole course. Over 60 people attended all of whom had a brilliant time, especially the winners.
It was another year of record breaking results. Dan King achieved the highest FDM score (44 points), winning the FDM cup. Additionally, although an improvement from last year, Andy King achieved the lowest FDM score (15 points), which for the second year running won him the wooden spoon. Frank West took first place overall (46 points), securing his name on the famed FDM client cup.

As part of our increased corporate/social commitment, FDM strives to provide a valuable contribution towards individuals who need assistance with professional development. FDM takes pride in supporting this cause, which directly links to our own mission of developing the IT careers of professionals throughout the world. Joel Hopwood, the young and talented golf professional joined us for the day to help players improve their driving technique and to raise funds to further enhance his professional golfing career. Congratulations to those who drew or beat Joel Hopwood at the nearest to pin competition, he acquired £1000 through this competition and by a donation from FDM.
Additionally an auction was held for an original Callaway golf driver signed by Ernie Els as well as a raffle. Andy Brown took home the Callaway driver with the highest bid of £350. Through these efforts FDM managed to raise £1085 for our chosen charity, The Prince’s Trust. This will help under privileged young people in the UK by assisting individuals to progress into work, education or training.
The FDM Golf Day was not only a lovely day out with great golf, weather and food, but also a great opportunity to mingle and strengthen our corporate relationships.
