SunGard

The Challenge

SunGard provides core IT services to Transport for London (TfL) for 11 strategic applications across 33 London boroughs. Their aim was to establish a strategic sourcing relationship for 3rd line support and maintenance, whilst continuously developing all TfL software.

The Solution

By utilising an outsource solution, FDM undertook an intensive knowledge transfer, relocating the existing development and support operation, providing emergency releases for critical fault resolutions, as well as regular maintenance releases for enhancements and minor fixes.

The Outcome

By maximising service availability through active maintenance and development, SunGard achieved significant productivity enhancements. In addition, FDM’s resource flexibility facilitated the development of new products for SunGard’s own clients.
