London Bridge Highlights
Want to make the most of summer in the city? Here you will find your go-to guide for must do’s this summer around London Bridge. From food and drinks to pop up events and hidden gems, London Bridge is not only home to the infamous shard with spectacular views, but there is something different around every corner. The majority of London’s greatest attractions are only a walking distance away from our office and Southbank’s Underbelly Festival is an ideal spot to take in London’s landmarks under twinkling fairy lights. We’ve put together this handy guide of what to expect if you visit this stunning area of London.
Events this summer
Whether you’re on your lunch break and want to catch a Wimbledon tennis match or you fancy going for some pre-work yoga, the scoop is the ideal spot. The riverside amphitheatre is only a five-minute walk from our FDM London Office and with an ever changing schedule, there is definitely something for everyone.
If you’re looking for somewhere to head to after work to kick back, relax and enjoy the football or some tennis, then there’s no better place than Flat Iron square. It also boasts an outdoor stage and weekend markets making it the perfect place to feel relaxed.
OMEARA is a small events venue that hosts many up and coming artists as well as smaller intimate gigs with big names. Only last month we saw James Bay take to the stage, and Eliza is set to perform this July.
Hidden Gem in London
Only a 10-minute walk away from our London office and you will find yourself in the most perfectly landscaped public garden. The Sky Garden has exceptional views, especially at sunset and is completely free to visit, but remember to book in advance.
Food and Drink
When London’s most famous market is only a five-minute walk from our office, it would be rude not to treat yourself every once in a while. There is a big emphasis on recyclability and wholesomeness at Borough market, with many of the vendors producing the food that they sell. No matter whether you’re a vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free or simply looking for some lunch, you are guaranteed to find something delicious.
With a great range of cafes, restaurants and pubs, Hay’s Galleria is situated in the sought after Thames riverside and it is only a short walk away from the HMS Belfast which makes the perfect lunch location.
