Design

The path to success with the department began with mobilising a high performing team, including SMEs in Data Strategy, Architecture and Analysis.

The data squad included senior professionals and early career talent from FDM’s academy. Being the largest net new creator of tech talent in the UK, we were able to quickly mobilise the team for onboarding within 3 weeks.

In 3 months, we created a powerful data strategy for the client, providing and implementing the necessary frameworks, artefacts, and processes to build a set of robust data capabilities.

Setting the department up for continued success, we provided tooling recommendations and created re-usable artefacts, linking to the corporate data model, data dictionary, and data catalogue.

The framework embedded a structure and methodology that allowed the department to implement the data governance best practice, principles, and work streams.

The data strategy set the organisation up to meet long term business objectives and met the National Strategy for Data and Data Governance requirements, while also aligning to the UK Government’s 2022 to 2025 Digital and Data Roadmap.
