Women in Tech Bootcamp

FDM is supporting more women to upskill in technology to close the gender gap in the tech sector. We are launching a new training initiative to teach young graduates how to code running from Monday 9th August to Friday 13th August.

Absolute beginners! If you have an interest in tech but haven’t had the opportunity to learn the skills yet, then this bootcamp could be the kickstart to your tech career. Do you enjoy problem-solving? Are you a curious learner? Do you thrive on a challenge? These are the foundation mindsets for developing tech skills.

Eligibility criteria:

  • You are a female final year university student or graduate from any discipline
  • You are proficient in English
  • You have a strong interest in learning technology skills
  • You can attend this bootcamp in person at the FDM Hong Kong Academy for the duration of the event

We will demystify the world of coding. You’ll start learning Python, one of the most popular programming languages in the technology industry. You will also have the chance to practise using it in a small class environment with some fun design challenges.

Things will kick off with a virtual welcome on 3rd August via Zoom. We would then like to welcome you to the Hong Kong Academy to meet us in person. The bootcamp will be delivered in person from 10 am-4 pm, Monday 9th – Friday 12th August.

If you demonstrate the attitude and aptitude to learn tech, you will be eligible to apply for a place on FDM’s graduate programme. Our programme provides commercially aligned training to become a technology consultant and gain experience with our industry-leading clients to launch your career.

Yes! FDM is fully sponsoring this training to introduce more young grads to the exciting world of tech careers. This is FDM’s way of giving back to the community.
