The Ex-Forces Programme is not only an important initiative for us - it is fundamental to our business success as it has allowed us to create a diverse talent pool which our clients are able to benefit from.
Individuals who have served in our Armed Forces have been instilled with many skills and traits which are invaluable to the corporate world such as leadership, team work, communication and a dedicated work ethic. Having worked in some of the most demanding environments, our ex-forces consultants bring different life experiences to the team as well as, in many cases, excellent technical capabilities.
It is, however, no easy feat to transfer from the forces to a civilian career. Whilst a lot of businesses recognise the huge talent potential available, there are still barriers and challenges to overcome.
Our Programme team are all ex-forces themselves, which means we have a unique understanding of the skills our consultants hold - even when they are unable to recognise it within themselves. This is something we believe really works.
We hire people with potential, provide them with relevant training and give them the opportunity to work in exciting roles with our high-profile clients. We care about our employees and embody the esprit de corps that we are used to in the Forces. We offer a supportive, enthusiastic, vibrant atmosphere and most importantly, we recognise the talent leaving our Armed Services.
Since the Programme’s inception, we have launched second careers for over 350 people in the UK. Our continued commitment to the Armed Forces community led to us being awarded the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold award earlier this year. We also support the See Potential campaign and would encourage others to do the same.
We are, and will continue to be, passionate about enabling ex-service personnel to start new careers in IT and project management and overseeing their transition to the commercial world.
