The V3 Readiness Award is presented to one of the V3-Certified Companies that demonstrates the “Best Workforce Readiness Initiative” by submitting supporting documentation for application questions or by submitting a written essay detailing your company’s onboarding and work readiness programs. The V3 Program’s mission is to help employers understand, design and implement nationally-recognized best practices in recruiting, hiring and retaining veteran employees.
John Tansill, Head of Veteran Initiatives, accepted this award on FDM’s behalf at the Virginia Workforce Conference during the 5th Annual Awards Summit on September 28th, 2017. Virginia’s Governor, Terry McAuliffe, happily presented this award as he recognized businesses for their ongoing commitment to create employment opportunities for Virginia’s military veterans.
John was thrilled to receive this honorable award:
“FDM received the award for the Best Workforce Readiness Initiative, due to our Reston Academy being one of the first approved Department of Defense – SkillBridge/Army Career Skills Programs in the state. It is very gratifying anytime you receive a high profile award from Virginia Values Veterans (V3), and then to have it presented by the Governor in a state where we have an academy is even more rewarding. This award will not only benefit FDM with recognition in the transitioning of service members and the veteran community, but with companies in the state of Virginia who may be looking to supplement their hiring of qualified IT talent. At FDM we are giving veterans the opportunity for a true career path in IT and business services.”
FDM’s award-winning Veterans Program values the transferable skills that our veterans from all ranks and branches of service bring with them. With a combination of their skills and our training approach FDM prepares veterans for a future in senior leadership roles working within multinational organizations.
