Initiate positive change with the FDM Business Analysis Graduate Programme

Why choose the FDM Business Analysis Graduate Programme?

As a Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between the technological and business side of an organisation. This involves taking responsibility for technology and process change initiatives, gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them so that they are easily accessible and understood company-wide. Your role is crucial to the future development of a business, helping to streamline processes, increase efficiency and improve services.

The FDM Business Analyst Graduate Programme will provide you with expert training to prepare you for placements working with our leading clients. This could see you working with large organisations with global reach to design and develop breakthrough applications or software. You will connect with teams and stakeholders across the globe to implement valuable change or technological initiatives to benefit the organisation as a whole.

We will be there to support you every step of the way with career development programmes, mentoring, wellbeing services and much more. Find out more about our support system.

What you’ll do on the Business Analyst Graduate Programme at FDM

As an FDM Business Analyst, you will learn when and how to use a diverse range of business analysis tools and techniques, as well as best practices for working with stakeholders and dealing with documentation. We will provide you with training to develop your investigation and analysis skills to help you truly understand and solve any business problem at hand. This will involve both group and individual exercises to prepare you for real working scenarios.

You will also learn how to establish, document and model requirements. Modelling techniques will be taught to ensure you can effectively communicate these processes, and so that requirements can be acted upon to deliver value for the client. Stakeholder identification and management technique training will ensure you are also able to act appropriately with those involved in the change. Finally, you will receive the BCS Foundation certificate in Business Analysis to validate your skills and carry with you throughout your entire professional career.

After training, you will begin your placement working on-site with our prestigious clients and delve into exciting change initiative projects from day one.

Business Analysis career prospects

As a Business Analyst, you could progress into more senior roles, such as Senior or Lead Business Analyst, taking charge of leading teams to analyse, design and deliver requirements for ever more complex and larger changes.

As the scope of a Business Analyst role also encompasses the reasoning behind organisational change, you may also find yourself later transitioning to project management, or other business area management positions.

After developing and honing a highly sought-after skill set during your time on-site, you could go on to specialise in more specific areas of analysis. You may also end up having more technical exposure, and thus pursuing a role in technical or enterprise architecture.
