As a Business Analyst, you could progress into more senior roles, such as Senior or Lead Business Analyst, taking charge of leading teams to analyse, design and deliver requirements for ever more complex and larger changes.
As the scope of a Business Analyst role also encompasses the reasoning behind organisational change, you may also find yourself later transitioning to project management, or other business area management positions.
After developing and honing a highly sought-after skill set during your time on-site, you could go on to specialise in more specific areas of analysis. You may also end up having more technical exposure, and thus pursuing a role in technical or enterprise architecture.

What our Consultants say

Samuel Quainoo

A few weeks into my role, I was asked to take a lead on the UAT project. At that time, I had very little experience in the field, but through preparation and working closely with my immediate team, I was able to successfully run through the UAT for that month, something that has now become second nature in my work today. FDM gave me the opportunity to gain experience with their top clients, with ongoing support from the account managers to help track my progress.

What I like the most about working in this field is that not every day is the same. You get to work on a variety of different projects and programs, and interact with a range of stakeholders which is a fantastic opportunity to network. FDM provided me with the essential knowledge and skills to become a successful Business Analyst. It introduced me to new business concepts such as ITIL and provided a global educational platform ‘LinkedIn Learning’ to help develop skills in my own time.

I’m currently on my first project – governance of the Change Review Roadmap. Understanding the amount of work and processes that go into monitoring other projects in the bank has been particularly interesting to me as it requires in-depth foresight of many risks that you need to account for. My training with FDM helped me gain and nurture my PMO skills in a way that I’d never been able to do before. I was introduced to the Agile methodology as well as the Change Framework; both of which are key aspects of Digital Business Services in the bank.
