Supporting Your Progression

FDM has a number of programmes in place to continuously support and engage our people:

Consultant Peer Support (CPS) Programme

The CPS Programme ensures that when a new consultant is placed onsite, they are connected with a more senior FDM consultant already working with that client to help ease their transition. These CPS ambassadors provide the guidance needed to help new consultants get settled, connect with fellow FDMers in the area and prepare for their new roles onsite.

Alumni Network

FDM has launched the careers of thousands of people who make up our alumni network of talented individuals. We regularly interact and engage with our alumni community, giving past and present FDMers a network from which to build relationships, learn from others and explore opportunities with people who have had similar career experiences.

Career Stories

Terence Tang, FDM Consultant:

I decided to join FDM because of diversity. I really love to mingle with people from different cultural backgrounds. It really helps to widen my horizons and at the same time to equip me and keep myself ready to attack any kind of role.

I enjoy it the most when I have to deal with different stakeholders ranging from consultants like me, all the way up to CIO and CEO, so I can have the chance to figure out what they’re actually doing in terms of their job nature.

I would definitely recommend FDM to people who haven’t actually figured out their future career path because FDM will prove that we have opportunities for you to explore within yourself, and also to figure out what you actually like and what you want to do.

I believe FDM has equipped me well with relevant skills and knowledge to get my foot in the door so that I can be confident and, also perform well on-site. I enjoy my placement.

Cindy Shen, FDM Consultant:

My first-year placement is in HSBC as PMO and now it’s my second-year placement. I am an application support and systems analyst in BNP Paribas.

I know FDM from one of my schoolmates because I learned master’s here. So, he recommended me to join here because he is already a consultant at FDM. I learned that FDM can provide me with the experience in a bank in Hong Kong and it’s really a good chance, so I just have to try.

I already recommend FDM to my classmates as well, and few of them have already been here as consultants for at least one year.

FDM supports me a lot and also the Account Managers helped us a lot during the whole process in the interview.

Yuki Lam, FDM Consultant

As a business analyst, I act as a bridge between the business user and also the IT team.

My role is that I’m working with very international and dynamic people, and colleagues from the APAC region.

To get into this IT industry is so frustrating at the beginning, but after I receive a lot of training advice provided by FDM, I feel I’m more well-equipped to step in an IT industry and be more confident.
