What you’ll do as a Cloud Computing Engineer at FDM
Throughout the FDM Cloud Computing Engineering training programme, you will gain a variety of skills to prepare you for your new role as a graduate Cloud Computing Engineer. This includes learning how to gather requirements for cloud-based environments, all the way through to implementation. You will also learn about the monitoring and decommissioning of Cloud environments which are no longer required, as well as how to perform standard monitoring, disaster recovery and maintenance tasks.
In order to help you achieve all of this, you will receive training in GCP, Azure, AWS, Python, Terraform, Ansible, Python, SQL. This will equip you with a versatile toolkit of software, languages and platform knowledge to carry with you throughout your professional career.
After you have completed training, you will be deployed on client site and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field. This will see you applying your new-found expertise and working on a range of valuable projects to create new cloud environments which meet business requirements.
FDM and AWS re/Start collaboration
FDM has teamed up with AWS re/Start to offer you a full-time skills development programme to launch your career working in Cloud Computing Engineering. Upon completion of the AWS Cloud and IT Fundamentals online training and the achievement of an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification, you will become a fully-fledged FDM consultant ready to work with one of our industry-leading clients as a Cloud Computing Engineer.

Telephone Interview

Video Interview
We will conduct a video interview to get to know you better and ask you a few more questions to help evaluate your suitability for the program. You can complete this using a computer, tablet or mobile phone. Please see our blog for some tips.
Assessment Centre
This stage involves an FDM Introduction presentation, followed by three strength-based interviews. This is your chance to meet the other graduates you could be training with and find out more about the program. The interview will be a strength-based interview and will focus on your ability and potential rather than previous experience.
