FDM Celebrates Down Under

Since kicking off our expansion into Australia in January 2017, we now have 50+ consultants placed and trainees across three territories; New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

Last week, we celebrated in true FDM style by hosting our first year of Australia consultant boat parties in both Sydney and Melbourne. The first taking in the stunning views of Sydney Harbour and then the second on the beautiful Yarra River in Melbourne with FDM’s trainees, consultants and clients. It was a fun packed few days.

We spoke with APAC Manager, James Tuttiett to get his views on the events:

“Hopefully this is the first of many parties for us in Australia. We are focused on growing FDM in the Land Down Under and helping young Australian graduates kick-start their careers in tech. It’s incredibly energising to open in another location for FDM and I hope we can grow Australia in the same way we have grown the other locations.”

FDM are in the process of securing a permanent space in Sydney and looking forward to welcoming the Australian team there. FDM Account Manager, Joe McLaren, will be relocating from Hong Kong to Sydney in the coming weeks. He says:

“It has been an exciting experience with the expansion of FDM into Australia. I feel that the hard work of the consultants to date and the amazing opportunities that our clients have provided them, have really laid the foundations for FDM to be very successful in the region. I look forward to relocating permanently and working with a new team in what is sure to be an exciting year ahead.”

We are just over a year into our Australian adventure and have lots of exciting opportunities coming up, our official launch will be later this year but watch this space for updates and career stories from our consultants out in Australia in the coming months.
