Why become an FDM Technical Consultant?

The FDM Technical Graduate Program offers you the opportunity to launch your successful career in tech.

Our training program will equip you with everything you need to get started on breakthrough projects. This could see you using next generation security tools to defend against increasingly sophisticated cyber-security threats, leveraging machine learning to predict and solve urgent issues affecting healthcare or climate change, as well as creating innovative digital experiences across a range of industries, including travel, finance and broadcast media.

We are looking for people who have a real passion for tech and innovation and you don’t need any prior technical experience to apply. There has never been a more exciting time to join the tech industry, so why not start now?

What you’ll be doing on the Technical Graduate Program

The FDM Technical Graduate Program begins with a comprehensive training period to equip you with the skills you need to become a leading tech consultant. During training, you will learn what it’s like to work in a development environment, using an agile methodology to collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will work on dynamic challenges such as the delivery of real-world applications, ranging from web-based to machine learning and data science to quality assurance and cloud technologies. In addition, our training includes modules on professional skills to ensure you have the confidence to start making a difference.

Are you an ambitious and driven graduate with a passion for technology? Then you’re exactly what we’re looking for at FDM. You don’t need to have a background in tech, we welcome candidates from all degree subjects and universities and you do not require any prior experience. If you’re open to learning new skills and working in exciting new environments, then this could be the perfect role for you. You will also need to be:

  • Educated to a degree level (bachelor or higher)
  • An excellent communicator
  • Passionate about a career in tech
  • Eligible to work in Australia and New Zealand

This stage involves an FDM Introduction presentation, followed by three strength-based interviews. The interview will be a strength-based interview and will focus on your ability and potential rather than previous experience. This is also your chance to meet the other graduates you could be training with and find out more about the program.
