The FDM Hong Kong Academy Program has successfully accomplished its mission for its first year. Although our new program only came into existence last September, we have placed 27 consultants working with HSBC and UBS in Hong Kong. Around 15 trainees are going to start their roles at the end of this month, 5 graduates are still under training and 10 fresh graduates have joined our Academy Programme this month.

Our Hong Kong recruitment team is trying our best to achieve excellence. We conduct Open Days every week to make sure everyone who is interested in our program fully understands FDM and our incredible Hong Kong opportunities. We have created an efficient communication channel for both our staff and our clients; with a local presence in Hong Kong, we are able to fully support our Consultants after they have been placed.

The feedback so far from our Consultants working in Hong Kong has been excellent, proven when we receive emails from them saying that they are ‘absolutely loving the job’. We are also receiving fantastic feedback from clients, saying that the quality of Consultants deployed has been very high, and the level they have achieved following FDM training means they have made a good start to a rewarding career.

2011 also looks to be a very exciting year for FDM in Hong Kong; we will have 50 vacancies for the Hong Kong program this year. More and more investment banks in Hong Kong will be partnering with FDM meaning more variety for our Consultants. Besides our current clients, HSBC, UBS, Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Scotland, we hope to partner with more organisations to create more opportunities. FDM will also be attending Careers Fairs for Hong Kong Universities in early March and there are plans to open a new office in Hong Kong around June this year.

We are always welcoming bright and proactive people to join us. You will need to have some knowledge and be keen to work in IT within the finance industry, and preferably be fluent in Cantonese. Currently we have positions available to become an RPG Developer or Investment Banking Application Support Analyst and you can apply by sending your CV to nova.li@fdmgroup.com.

With less than 13% income tax rate and extremely appealing salary we provide for you, you will definitely love working in Hong Kong’s financial center – the tax-free and ideal shopping paradise!!
