As a Business Analyst, you could progress into more senior roles, such as Senior or Lead Business Analyst, taking charge of leading teams to analyse, design and deliver requirements for ever more complex and larger changes.
As the scope of a Business Analyst role also encompasses the reasoning behind organisational change, you may also find yourself later transitioning to project management, or other business area management positions.
After developing and honing a highly sought-after skill set during your time on-site, you could go on to specialise in more specific areas of analysis. You may also end up having more technical exposure, and thus pursuing a role in technical or enterprise architecture.

What our Consultants say

Ashton George

FDM provided a platform and foundation for me to practice my passion for IT and I am now in my third year as a consultant. In my time on-site at the Home Office, I have been involved in two critical Agile projects impacting all departments within the organisation.

Victoria Webster
Consultant at The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
Leeds Beckett University
During my time in the academy I was able to develop new skills and gain qualifications which are now very critical in my role. While on-site, I’ve had the opportunity to lead on my own projects, which has allowed me to develop and gain further skills.

Amy Kirkpatrick
Alumna
Glasgow Caledonian University
My role covers many different aspects, from stakeholder engagement for requirement gathering to working closely with different technical areas to achieve a viable solution. It means that no day is the same. The volume of collaboration and interaction with others is something I really enjoy and being able to see the initial requirements turn out into technical output shows that the hard work has paid off.
