DevOps – Overview and Opportunities

In this workshop, Hamza will introduce you to this exciting world and outline the importance of growing and sustaining a healthy DevOps culture. He’ll also share insights on breaking into this high-growth, high-value IT career path.  

Customizing Data Structures with Java Collections

Date: Tuesday 15th March 2022
Time: 2:00 – 3:00pm EST

Collections – objects that group multiple elements into a single unit – are used in every programming language. This workshop looks at what you can do when Java’s Collections functionality doesn’t meet your needs. FDM Software Development Trainer, Joshua, will walk you through an example of creating and implementing your own data structure showing code used and comparing it to existing standard collections. A must for those with a basic understanding of coding in Java. 

Modelling Real-World Mechanics with Java Simulation

Date: Wednesday 16th March 2022

This webinar will be of special interest to those who are experienced in coding in Java. In this workshop Joshua will introduce you to ways of creating functional realizations of complex real-world situations and mechanics. No additional frameworks/dependencies are required for this session. You will learn about design process and implementation, empowering you to pursue your own practice through similar scenarios.

The Path Towards Cyber Security

Enjoy putting your critical thinking skills to the test? Java enthusiasts will especially enjoy this workshop providing an overview of Information Security and a roadmap to entering this fascinating field. FDM Cyber Security expert, Klaudio, will share information about which industry certifications can enhance your employability and include some hands-on content for ethical hacking.

Diversity Panel: Women in Tech – Practical Advice and Inspiring Stories

This event will be hosted as a panel made up of current FDM Consultants, Trainers and Scrum Masters who identify as female. They will share their stories, their successes, and the challenges they’ve had to overcome within their tech careers.
